End of Summer

With summer being really over (at least over here) - I thought I would put a few of Brenna's last warm weather photos up. Take care!

Driving around

Well, we missed Brenna's gym class this afternoon because she napped later (this class may be hard for us to go to with Brenna's sleep schedule) so we decided to drive to Bühl and go to the store there. Now the interesting thing here is that I went to Bühl nearly every day with Dustin when we were here on our visit trip, but only twice in the month that we have lived here. Brenna and I need to meet the German teacher in town tomorrow morning, so I wanted to get more comfortable with where I was driving and where we should park. I missed my turn the first time around (well, lets just say I didn't know where I was supposed to turn) and circled all around town. I think I have it down now, Brenna and I will just have to find the store in the morning. Hopefully, we will get there early, the weather will be nice, and we can walk around town some there tomorrow.

Too bad that Justice is such a handful or he could go along - they love dogs over here.

I haven't been able to get Brenna to pose for me lately, but here is a recent picture (o.k. - it is a month old, but I loved how cute she looked in this dress - how did the time fly by so quickly) :-)

Tea addicted - still here

I don't know what it is about tea that I am so addicted to having like 10 different flavors in the house. We have only been here a month and I already have 4 different flavors :-) They have some really good flavors here that I had never seen in the States - I will probably try all of them here since there are no Crystal light or Hawaiian Punch packs :-)

So for those who know me well - the addictions still continue - I have just moved to herb tea instead of the powders :-) I thought the girls in the lab would get the biggest kick out of this :-)

Hello All -
Things have been busy here this weekend - working on getting everything finally in its spot (almost done :-), getting caught up on laundry (by the way, this is way worse here than in the States) and doing some baking (can everyone say expanding waist line for all of us ???). I'm not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing that the grocery store isn't so foreign anymore. Germany has lots of flavored Buttermilks and these do really well in baking. I tried the Strawberry one this weekend in my muffins - yum :-)
I'm finding that ebooks may be a great solution for reading books and not too expensive either.
Other than that, Justice and I got out on a long walk today, so that was really nice.
For anyone who is leaving comments - I am reading them every time and always look forward to them :-)

Went to France

Yesterday we all went to France - it is amazing how close everything is :-) It was neat to see the Rhine river as we crossed over it - can't wait to see more. It was sure tempting to just keep going when we saw all the signs to Paris :-) We decided to go to the IKEA there since it was a holiday in Germany and everything was closed. The stuff at the IKEA stores has Dustin drooling - it is all his kind of style :-)
Anyway, we bought a new desk that we could fit the computer and my sewing machine on. The dog crate is able to fit underneath so that is pretty nice too. Also bought more storage units - they are nice and should fit quite a bit of stuff - I can't wait to have everything finally put away in its spot. It is amazing how much stuff you can fit in one of these tiny apartments :-)
Brenna did fairly well for having a short nap yesterday, but I think all may be coming down with a cold. We all have a bit of a scratchy throat :-(
Well, we have some errands to run this morning - catch you all later :-)

New outfit

For everyone who has been waiting for a picture of more than just Brenna - I set up the timer and was able to take a picture with her today. I hoped to get the dog in to, but he wasn't very cooperative. Brenna didn't sleep very well last night, but she is in a pretty good mood today (not so sure about mine...)

October 1

Today was a busy day, but not a lot got accomplished. Brenna and I had her play group today - she loved it and is doing well playing with the other kids. Not many of the others showed up today, but it didn't matter to Brenna. All of the cupcakes are now gone between Dustin and me (o.k. - I think I had the most), but they were pretty tasty :-) Tomorrow is a new day and a weight watcher weigh in day (not so good :-(
Dustin has Friday off for a German holiday so it will be nice to have a 3 day weekend with him. Hopefully, I will be able to get Justice and me out for a nice long walk (or several). The hills around are great exercise.
Well, no interesting pictures today - hopefully, I will get the camera out tomorrow now that the cards are all cleaned off from the pictures.
