Hello All!!

Well, we are off to Neuschwanstein Castle tomorrow :-) Dustin and I are both really looking forward to seeing the castle (this is the one that Disney based their Castle on at the parks and I believe Sleeping Beauty castle). We hope to see two castles tomorrow and also the tallest church in the world in Ulm. Hopefully, we can get all that done on our drive tomorrow :-) We are hoping to see quite a few of the castles in Germany before we leave, so this should be a good start :-)
Brenna and I had music class today, although with her temper tantrum - we didn't make it all the way through class. Oh well, there is always next week... We took the dog for a very long walk today - I think it was almost 1 hour and 15 minutes!! I am definetly in better shape now then when we first got here though (although, my legs will probably still be sore tomorrow) :-) If I can just loose the extra pounds, all will be great :-)
Dustin is back from his trip (yeah!!), but he will be gone most of next week :-( He goes to Turkey on Monday thru Wednesday and then to England on Thursday night... At least one of us is able to stay home with Brenna now.
No pictures today, but I'm sure there will be some after tomorrow :-)

Hello All!!!

We had a very busy day today (o.k. - it is probably not really very busy compared to some other schedules, but for us - we accomplished alot today :-) Dustin is out of town until later tonight, so we all had to walk the dog today, have our German class, and we did some craft projects and drawing :-) We took the dog for a walk after lunch today for about an hour. He has been pretty lazy the rest of the day... Brenna fell asleep for about 15 minutes on the walk - guess it was from getting up several times last night and me waking her early for German class.

Brenna really likes having her hand traced, so we did "Turkey Hands" today. Hopefully, I scan in her "artwork" to share. We even had fun tracing her feet as well :-)

Of course, after playing with the washable markers, we had to have a bath this evening - she loves playing in the water, but not so much having her hair washed most days. I think she was just overly tired today.

I made another new recipe today - Candied Carrots (only 2 weight watcher points per serving :-). I'm probably going to be trying some more healthy things as I signed up for Weight Watchers on-line yesterday. I just can't seem to take this extra weight off and it is starting to be a struggle to fit into my jeans... So, I figured, why not start back on track now - at least we don't really have Thanksgiving over here - although we will celebrate with friends :-) I will probably need to think of several healthy recipes to take now... To bad I love making desserts so much - I just need to pace myself better...

Hello All!!!

Hope all is well with everyone. We had a fairly productive day today - had kinder group this morning, worked on laundry, and walked the dog :-) Amazing how that has changed in my world to be a successful day.

Dustin left for England tonight (although he forgot his Blackberry...). It is strange when someone forgets something like that because there is nothing you can do to get it to them...(without a car over here anyways...)

Not really too much else going on today. My sister shared these great pictures she took of the fabric we ordered. The fabric with the flowers on it is the ones I ordered - I think I ordered some very girly fabric :-), but I can't wait to see it :-) Thanks for ordering it for me :-)

Well, I better go!! Lots to do with Dustin not being here this evening.

Hello All!!

I had a very vanilla day today!!! - What does this mean you might be asking?? Well, I am hooked on the http://www.allrecipes.com/ website - it makes finding recipes super easy over here. I was looking for one recipe yesterday and ended up stumbling upon a different recipe for vanilla wafer cookies... You can not find these cookies over here (they have one "cookie" over here that is kind of like a graham cracker/vanilla wafer flavor). Anyway, Brenna and I made the vanilla wafer cookies this morning - yum!!! This afternoon, I was looking for a recipe to use egg yolks and ended up making very vanilla crepes - these were voted by the family as yummy too (o.k. - Brenna ate two cookies and 4 crepes today - I'm not saying how much I ate :-)

We made it out again for a nice walk with the dog this afternoon. Brenna wore her Gymnastic shoes (that we haven't used for that purpose - I figured she might as well wear them :-) and rode in the stroller.

We went to the grocery store this evening and let Brenna push her own cart around - she really enjoyed that (although she was a little upset after we were home and she realized we put some things back on the store shelf...).

We are working to plan a trip this weekend to some castles - crazy how close we are to this stuff over here. I need to get the camera cards cleaned off so that we can take some more pictures - maybe tomorrow (not sure what happened to me doing it in the last couple days - lol)....

Hello All!
After all rain last week - it was great to see the sun shining today. We had a beautiful blue sky day here today - I think it may be nice all week :-)
Brenna and I took the dog for a walk today - we went up the path to the statue behind our house - a good work out pushing Brenna in her stroller :-) It was really nice to get out of the house, finally :-)
I don't have any new pictures today as I need to clear off the camera card to take more - I filled it up yesterday on our walk, lol! With all our upcoming adventures - we decided to get a GPS unit tonight. I can't wait for our trip this weekend to try it out :-) Hopefully, it will be easier to follow than the Google map directions over here :-) We bought one that we should be able to use for the entire time over here and then also when we are back in the states (although we won't need it in Dustin's deluxe truck ;-)

Sunday, November 2

Well, the weather finally was nice enough to spend some time outside today :-) We took a nice walk with the whole family to the top of the "hill" - Brenna walked all the way down the hill today :-) Quite a walk for a little person :-)

The Snickers are all gone already - how can two people eat them so quickly :-) All the good Christmas food is coming out here - it is going to be a big challenge to eat healthy until Christmas :-)

We are looking to go to some of the Castles in Germany this month. Dustin has a busy month at work traveling to England and Turkey - so driving trips will be the thing this month.

Hope you enjoy our pics from today. The fall colors are still pretty at the park and walk close by. We haven't had a clear day from the look-out point yet, but I still think it is pretty :-)

Who can believe that it is the 1st of November already??? I also can't believe that in 5 weeks, Brenna and I will be back in Ohio for a month... It feels like we are just getting into our schedule here - but time will be great at the holidays to be with our families :-)

The weather here was still cloudy, but less rainy (although it did still rain today :-)

I made it out on a pretty decent walk with Justice - I loved his face expression after we got back today - hopefully, you will enjoy it as well :-)

Brenna was pretty much Daddy's girl today :-) She made sure he played with all her toys and took her with him wherever he went... She didn't even want to help me make rolls in the kitchen ;-)

Other than that - just working on getting the apartment in order. Dustin worked on getting the fridge door switched to the other side (the new fridge is awesome - thank you so much Karl and Heather (and everyone else that this fridge went through!!)) Dustin (and I) decided to buy Brenna "some" Halloween candy yesterday - being the sugar addicts that we are - it is going quickly!!! Dustin is thoroughly enjoying all the chocolate and Snickers over here...
